WSNH What is my colleague doing?

Have you often wondered what your colleague is actually doing all day? It's easy to be tempted to sneak a peek at their screen from time to time. You might even think about illegal (!) surveillance measures if your own stress levels are high enough.

But that's not necessary for an initial assessment! Just listen to his typing noises and his rhythm compared to yours!

Order entry, purchasing: the rhythm will change often, the number pad will be used frequently. Article numbers and quantities dominate day-to-day business. If they type at a steady rhythm for a long time, they will probably not be working in Navison, but rather in Whatsapp or Facebook 🙂

Graphics, marketing: The opposite is true here, texts accompany everyday life. If there isn't much typing going on, it could just be graphic work with the mouse. But if there are long pauses between mouse clicks, then it's probably not Adobe Indesign, QuarkXpress or Leaflet on the screen, but rather Facebook or other websites.

Accounting: The typing noise from sales and purchasing fits here again. With many mouse clicks and few keyboard noises, or especially with long, monotonous keyboard noises (=text), the Navision accounting sheet will probably not be active, but rather the browser or e-mail.
